What is the Lions message in a bottle scheme?

Lions Clubs’ Message in a Bottle scheme is a simple idea designed to encourage people to keep their basic personal and medical details on a standard form and in a common location – the fridge.

What does it do?

It saves the Emergency Services valuable time if they need to enter a property in an emergency situation.  They look for the green sticker on your fridge door or inside the front door and know there is valuable information in the fridge.

How can it help?

It can help by saving time – the emergency services don’t have to search everywhere for valuable information.

Is it free?

One off bottles are free. As we are a Charity all we ask is that the postage cost is covered. This assists us in keeping our MIAB project sustainable. Thank you.

What is the cost of the bottles for Message in a Bottle?

Some Lions clubs who support the project may be able to supply the bottles to members of the public, health centres, GP surgeries and chemists local to their area free of charge.

The cost to Lions Clubs for the kits, along with details of packing and delivery charges are provided in the order form which can be found on the Club Info page.
